ENT Consultants of East Tennessee

About Ear Nose & Throat Consultants of East Tennessee

Since 1976, we have been helping people across East Tennessee with their ear, nose, and throat problems, as well as sleep disorders. With offices in Knoxville, Harriman and Lenoir City, we provide premier patient care for the treatment of head and neck disorders consistent with the highest standard of medical excellence and the latest innovative technology.

The six physicians on staff do not need to refer patients to other doctors when ear, nose, throat, or head/neck surgery is needed and, therefore, can offer the most appropriate care for each individual patient.

What is an otolaryngologist?

Often referred to an ENT (ear, nose and throat) physician, otolaryngologists are physicians trained in the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck.

Their special skills include diagnosing and managing diseases of the sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity, and upper pharynx (mouth and throat), as well as structures of the neck and face. Otolaryngologists diagnose, treat, and manage specialty-specific disorders as well as many primary care problems in both children and adults.

What is an audiologist?

An audiologist is a professional who diagnoses, treats, and manages individuals with hearing loss or balance problems. Audiologists determine appropriate patient treatment of hearing and balance problems by combining a complete history with a variety of specialized auditory and balance system assessments.
